Inflammation is common for many athletes and we want to try to reduce inflammation as much as possible so we recover faster from training and racing. The first time I made this smoothie, I was just trying to make something that tasted good. It worked! As well as tasting awesome, there are some very beneficial ingredients. What makes this drink good for inflammation

is turmeric. Curcumin is a compound found in turmeric and it is one of the best natural anti inflammatories in the world.  I’ve also included goji berries in this smoothie to help the body adapt to stress.

 

Ingredients *Serves 2

  • 1 banana
  • 1 inch peeled turmeric
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mangoes
  • 1/4 cup goji berries
  • 2 cups water

 

Directions

  1. Put everything into a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
