I will admit I have been a total coffee addict in the past. I started making excuses as to why I needed another cup, like having a hard workout come up, so I thought the extra caffeine will help me get through it. Like with any addiction, once your body starts to crave something, it’s usually not good. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that a coffee addiction is probably not very healthy for you. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not against using caffeine as a performance enhancer, I have used caffeine enough to know that it can help greatly in certain workouts and racing. The main thing is not to abuse it.
My wife created this drink one morning and I couldn’t believe how great it tasted. I will substitute my morning coffee with this drink most days. I have not given up coffee, but since substituting with this drink, I no longer have an addiction. My wife named her creation the Chocolate Mint Chaga Elixir. This drink is so full of amazing ingredients that are bursting with micro nutrients, healthy fats, and even immune boosting properties. Chaga powder (mushroom) and maca are two of the superfoods that are in this drink and are both immune modulators. Immune modulators basically help to regulate the body’s immune system, which is very important if you are an athlete that is constantly putting your body under great stress. There are many other great ingredients in this drink but those two is really what will take your new drink into the realm of epic super coffee.
