What a year it’s been! The highlight is obvious by the picture above. My wife and I are very lucky to be parents to this beautiful little girl. Racing/result wise, the last year has been a wash, but I am beyond excited for 2018. It will be the first time I’ll be racing a true professional schedule in the sense that my race schedule will be full of big races and I’ll be able to stand on the starting line with more than a couple weeks of preparation. I am also very grateful to have some great sponsors coming on board starting in early 2018.
One of the reasons I haven’t been posting to the website as often is I started a YouTube channel and am enjoying that much more than writing blog posts. I feel like it’s been a better way to reach other triathletes and runners, too. With that being said, I do have some blog posts coming up that will work better on this website than YouTube, so make sure to check back. Also, if you haven’t checked out my YouTube channel, make sure to do so, and make sure to subscribe if you’d like. You can find my channel here. I do my best to put out 2 videos per week related to triathlon, running or nutrition. In 2018, I will have more time to dedicate to my channel.
Below is what my race schedule will more than likely end up looking like next year.
- Victoria 70.3 – June 3rd
- Coeur d’Alene- June 24
- Great White North Half Ironman- July 8
- Ironman Whistler OR Ironman Mont Tremblant- July 29 and August 19
- Ironman Arizona- November 18
- Will be a couple of other half and local races but those are the meat of my schedule.
2017 was also a great year getting to know and work with lots of great athletes as their coach. Most had great running and triathlon seasons and it was great to be able to help them push their limits and reach their goals. In 2018, I will have room for a few more athletes, so if you’re interested, fill out the form below and send me a message to see if working together will work!
